New Specials & Events from Kent’s!

Dear Customers, Suppliers, and Friends,

Ginny and I have been welcoming spring together as owners for the last 22 years. It is the most labor-intensive, financially draining time of the year. But spring here is part of our heart and soul. As efforts to curb the Corona Virus have increased, we feel that we, too, must make the painful choice of closing our gates for at least the two weeks that Governor Inslee has asked us to do.

Once a year in the spring we unload our semis full of plants feeling like it is Christmas. A truckload of gifts fills our minds with excitement and adrenalin. We nurture, inspect, and display our new arrivals with the hopes of sending them off to their final journey: Your yard.

To listen to the birds with their springtime chorus, and to smell the earth as it warms is actually a feeling that is embedded in our hearts and minds.

We hope that we have brought these wonderful feelings to our customers and hope you understand what a difficult decision this has been for us, but we feel it is the right thing to do.

We will be nurturing our plants as they await our reopening and your arrival.

A skeleton crew will be caring for our nursery stock during the next couple of weeks. We are going to try our best to accommodate phone sales and payments over $50 with no contact pick-up at our front gate. We will give this our best shot and hope it does not get too complicated.

Be safe, take care and we look forward to seeing ya'll in the garden soon.

What our customers say

We’ve always had a great experience when we go to Kent’s. We’ve gotten two trees from them in last several years. Their tips on how to properly plant the trees have been very helpful… The staff is highly knowledgeable and are always there to help. They even offer you to call them if you have any questions once you get your plants or trees home. I highly recommend Kent’s Garden & Nursery as an excellent source for your gardening and nursery needs.

You folks have the largest variety of assorted plants of any other local Whatcom County nursery. We purchased all of the landscaping plants from you for our rental house remodel and also for the house we built. All plants were healthy and have thrived with minimal attention. Kent’s is the first place we think of when we’re looking for either ideas of a specific plant. And the staff is helpful as well.

Every year for my birthday and Christmas I ask my family to get me a gift certificate from Kent’s Garden and Nursery. They are my ‘go to place’ for my gardening needs. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The selection of trees, shrubs and flowers is varied, healthy and priced right. I could spend all day there. Ask my husband!
